Misc. happenings in April

Trying to be better about keeping this blog updated! Mike is finishing up his semester at UNT with 9 hours of classes, making A's in all three classes. He's scheduled to take 4 classes over the summer and then 5 classes (17 hours) in the fall. It's going to be a busy few months for us.

For the fall, we are looking for a Mother's Day Out/Preschool for Paisley for 2 days a week. We've got it narrowed down to 2 churches in the area, and will hopefully have a decision made pretty soon.

In just a few short weeks, we'll be taking our first solo vacation as a family of three. Mike, Paisley and I are loading up our truck and driving to the beach for a week. We're headed to Gulf Shores, AL where we've rented a beachfront condo for a week. I CANT WAIT.

Paisley's enjoying her little slide. This weekend, Mike treated his girl to a "new" slide for the yard - a used find on Craigslist. She is loving it! You can see in the picture that Paisley is also showing off her new sandals. It hasn't been an instant love, she's been a little reluctant to wear sandals. In fact, I bought her a cute little pair of flip flops from Old Navy that she flat out refuses to wear. What girl doesn't love her $2 pair of Old Navy flip flops?? We're going to have to work on that one...
Today we had a big treat - the Marx girls - Hannah and Abby - spent the afternoon with us! They were a ton of fun :) Abby's on the left, Hannah's on the right. They are giving lots of love to the Fisher Price Little People Noah's Ark animals.

Abby enjoying the giraffe, or as Paisley calls it, the "raff".

And, miss Hannah, just chillin'.
Here we are, all the girls anyways. Paisley was quite upset that I took her paci out for this picture, and so she refused to look at Daddy. She wasn't too sure about her mommy taking care of other babies, but she was excited to have the girls here. She kept saying "Hi Abby" and "Hi Hannah" and when we were feeding them (bottles and some other baby food), she was a big helper.
Getting ready for our beach trip, we picked up a couple of pairs of new sunglasses for P. Here she is in her super stylin' purple ones. I'm not sure that these server the purpose of shading her eyes from the sun? But Daddy thought Paisley needed a purple pair, and clearly, she's enjoying them.
