Another Trip to the Doctor...

Paisley went to the doctor again today and everything went great. She now weighs 13lbs 5oz and is 24.5" long. At 9 weeks old, the doctor said that she is in the 97th percentile for length and 95th for weight, so we might have a tall girl on our hands. She did however receive 5 shots today, but she handled them very well. She cried at first but she quickly fell asleep and was out by the time we left the doctor's office.

I Have Hands?

Paisley has discovered that she has hands and likes to put them in her mouth. Instead of us waking up to a baby crying in the middle of the night, instead we are awakened by the noise of Paisley sucking on her hands. I'm not going to complain, she's really enjoys it and it keeps her occupied during today as well. In addition to the sucking, she is batting at toys and she is on the verge of grabbing them. So anyday now she will be putting toys in her mouth all by herself.

Bye-Bye Mommy...

The Cowboys outfit was good luck last Sunday. I think we will be wearing it again this Sunday.
Above is Paisley in her Bumbo seat. It's just a little chair with a high back that helps babies sit up.

Well, today was Cassie's first day back at work (it was only a half day) and she sure was missed. Paisley and I just hung out, ate, and napped. Next week will truly be an adventure for the dad. Paisley has been trying to talk to us; she has said goo, gaa, waa, and a variety of other sounds. I think "mama" is just right around the corner. My girl is very smart.

Play Date

Paisley had her first play date with Jarrett and Dane and pretty much slept the whole time. It's to be expected I guess since all that we did was stroll around the mall. She'll be a handful boys, so just you wait. In other news, Paisley has discovered how to smile and does it often (although having the camera ready when it happens is something I'm trying to figure out).
