18 Months!

Paisley is officially a year and a half old & she is so much fun. Yesterday, I looked at her and said "Love you" and she looked right back at me and said "I know"... I don't really think she is that sassy yet, but the phrase "I know" is one of her relatively new ones, so maybe she was just testing it out in that instance.

Anyways, we had our friend Emily take some pictures to commemorate Paisley's 18 month birthday. You can see a quick peek here. In true mom fashion, all I keep thinking is that she looks so grown up, which is a little bittersweet.

Pre and Post Xmas Catch-Up

Ok...so I've been neglecting the blog a bit, so it's time to jam a ton of pictures from the past couple of weeks into 1 entry. Cassie did the last post with just a few pics from Christmas, but I have much more pics that I hope everyone will enjoy.
This is Paisley a few days ago carrying around a couple of purses...she likes to load them up and say "heavy" when picking them up while grunting as if she can barely lift them.
Christmas with Grandma Darlene and Grandma Fay...

Above is the loot that Paisley got from Santa on Christmas morning...
Christmas Day at Papa's and Ree Ree's...

Paisley is intrigued by the dancing Elmo doll...

Forget Elmo...I got a ball!

Devo, put me down!

Running around like a crazy little person!

What are doing Snuggles?

Ahhh...nap time after a long couple of days.

Christmas Eve at Grandma Edith's. Grandma got Pais a doll...

She was a little intrigued by the opening and closing of the eyes...

I've got Jessica's cell phone!

Calling my peeps...
Texting...

Showing off in front of everyone...

Eating a cookie at the tollhouse store...and I think she might have liked it.

Evidence of liking it.

More showing off...

What a Life!

Happy New Year! The Gibsons had a great Christmas. As you can see, Santa brought Paisley a kitchen for Christmas, which she loves. She's still not too sure about the whole gift-giving "party" that Christmas often turns into, but she had fun nonetheless. We spent Christmas morning at home, playing with Santa's treats before heading over to Papa and Ree Ree's house.

Santa also brought Paisley a shopping cart and some "cutting food" - basically wooden play food with velcro in the center. There's a wooden knife and cutting board too, so she can practice cutting her watermelon, bananas, carrots, etc. She also has a sandwich kit, so she can make Mom and Dad lunch someday...

Grandma Edith gave Paisley the lovely baby doll seen below. Paisley calls it her "bee bee".

We had fun playing outside at Ree Ree and Papa's house on Christmas day - the weather was great. The picture below is of Paisley in the midst of all the presents at my parents. She looks like she's about to get herself in trouble!

Here's to a wonderful, blessed 2009 - we'll have new pictures soon, I am sure. I am also trying to document all of Paisley's new words so we can post a video soon- just need to find a few more hours in the day :)

Merry Christmas!

Sorry for the delay in posting new pictures, trying to get ready for Christmas, Mike finished up his three classes with all A's, and just everyday life 'stuff' has gotten in the way. We took Paisley to see Santa yesterday. As a reminder, here she was last year:

Happy-go-lucky five month old Paisley :) And... here she was yesterday:

I am sure we'll have lots of posts over the next few weeks with all of the holiday fun. Merry Christmas!!!

Sic 'em Bears!!

So, we took a Harbord/Gibson family trip down to Waco earlier this month to take in the Baylor vs. Texas A&M football game. Everyone had a great time, despite the bitter cold/windy weather. Here are few pictures from the day. We hung out at Heather's apartment before the game.

We saw a great football game & Baylor beat the snot out of A&M, so all was right with the world that afternoon. Paisley had a good time & made it through almost three full quarters with the help of an awesome corn dog & the faithful paci :)

The Girl Likes Some Jewelry

Paisley has started playing with all of mom's jewelry. She likes to take necklaces on and off and sort them. This could turn into an expensive hobby...

Angie came to visit last weekend and Pais got to do some swinging at ReeRee and Papa Doug's. That is ReeRee, Angie, and Devon in the pic above.

Again, playing with some jewelry...

Her staight-faced look...

Mommy and Pais playing outside again at ReeRee and Papa Doug's. She likes picking up rocks and grass trying to eat them.
