Happy Sunday

The weather was so nice yesterday! Paisley loves playing outside. She spent quite a bit of time sliding, playing soccer, and running around like a typical toddler yesterday. Looks like today will be perfect too!

Clearly, we could all use a dose of whatever Paisley is getting for this amazing joy she always seems to have. It's really easy to wake up every day when you get to be around this personality!

Conquering the juice box...

We took Mack and Shelby to the Denton dog park several weeks ago & had a great time. Since little kiddos aren't really welcomed in the fenced dog-play area, she and I cruised the outside while dad played with the dogs. She decided to figure out this whole juice box thing, since we don't have them very often.

I should have known she would want to take the straw right out...

And then promptly squeeze the box of juice all over without the straw in...
I finally convinced her to get the straw back in & drink the juice...

Pretty!

Paisley got her first haircut today courtesy of miss Emily! Audrey helped too, grabbing pictures of the event. Pais sat on my lap and enjoyed a sucker while getting the back of her hair trimmed up. It's been getting a little "scraggly", so it was definitely time! She's looking at herself proudly in the mirror.

19 months and counting...

I haven't taken many pictures in the last couple of weeks, but here are some good ones out of the few taken. This one below was of course when it was a little colder and she was all bundled up and havin' fun.

These below are after taking a bath one night and she is just relaxing with Shelby while getting ready for bed.

She likes her "toons" and knows how to work a remote.

This is one of her favorite ways to sit in her chair. She certainly has no problem trying to get comfy.

Soccer, Follow the Leader, etc.

There's not much to report, but I've added some pictures of what Paisley has been up to lately. She went to the doctor for her 18 month check up yesterday and she seems to be doing great. The Dr. is a little worried about her weight - after spending much of her first year at the very top of the growth chart, she is now in the 30th percentile for her weight & hasn't gained much since her last appointment in November. So, we are going to try and give her some more fat & check her weight a little more often. She is still growing taller, so there's not a huge amount of worry at this point.

Here's Paisley sitting at her new table. She's been doing a lot of coloring and eating snacks at this table.

Here's Paisley playing with her soccer net in the backyard. She enjoys the little cones that came with the set more than the actual soccer ball and net right now.

Check out the new ponytail!! She doesn't like to keep it in, but we've been experimenting with the new hairstyles now that her hair is getting longer in the back.

Paisley enjoys copying what Dad does - all of his goofy antics are being absorbed by Peanut...

18 Months!

Paisley is officially a year and a half old & she is so much fun. Yesterday, I looked at her and said "Love you" and she looked right back at me and said "I know"... I don't really think she is that sassy yet, but the phrase "I know" is one of her relatively new ones, so maybe she was just testing it out in that instance.

Anyways, we had our friend Emily take some pictures to commemorate Paisley's 18 month birthday. You can see a quick peek here. In true mom fashion, all I keep thinking is that she looks so grown up, which is a little bittersweet.

Later!

I Wanna Dance!

I captured some pics of Paisley showing off some of her dance moves...she loves to dance.
